Ko Phan Ngan (KPN) is a short ferry ride from Ko Samui and is known for big beaches and big parties. It's where they host the Full Moon Party every month in Hat Rin on the southern tip of the island. But there is a different side to Ko Phan Ngan, literally. The secluded west and northern coast villages offer peace and privacy as a reward for the those who put forth the extra effort needed to reach them. If you're going for the Full Moon Party, get there a few days early. If you're not interested, it's best to visit KPN during the other 3 weeks of the month.
