Ko Lanta is another of the more obscure island getaways in Southern Thailand, and offers some great beaches, caving, trekking, and bungalow opportunities. There is also some good diving to be had in Ko Lanta National Marine Park. The Ko Lanta island group consists of 52 islands, but Ko Lanta Yai is the most populated and developed. To get to any of the area islands you can ferry from Krabi, or catch a bus taxi to the island of Ko Lanta Noi and take a quick ferry ride from there.
